Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expanding its world again, this time with a charged twist. A new DLC titled Mega Dimension has been unveiled, placing the spotlight on Raichu’s long-awaited Mega Evolutions. In a surprise reveal during Nintendo’s September Direct, two new forms of the Electric-type mascot, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, were introduced, signaling fresh gameplay possibilities and narrative directions.

Both forms of Mega Raichu come with bold design choices that lean into the letter-themed motif. Mega Raichu X channels its “X” through the jagged angles of its tail, while Mega Raichu Y carries a set of glowing, antler-like extensions. The teaser also gave fans a glimpse of Hoopa, hinting that dimension-shifting adventures may play a role in the new story content.

Players eager to dive in can already pre-order the add-on through the Nintendo eShop. Early buyers will unlock themed apparel for their in-game character when the expansion launches on October 16, 2025.
