Schellmann’s research uncovered instances where nonsensical behavior during interviews received high ratings, while relevant credentials were downgraded. She fears the widespread adoption of such technology could perpetuate inequalities in the job market.
The lack of accountability further exacerbates the issue. Schellmann suggests that companies, motivated by cost savings, may overlook flaws in AI systems, potentially exposing themselves to legal liabilities.
