Nintendo has yet to provide an official release window for the anticipated console.
The news of the Switch 2’s delayed release stirred reactions, evident in Nintendo’s shares dropping by up to 8.8% following a Bloomberg report. While not reaching critically low levels, the delay disappointed investors and enthusiasts who had been eagerly anticipating the console.
Speculation had been rife regarding a potential Nintendo Direct event this month, but instead, a Partner Showcase was announced, leading some to speculate that Nintendo might be changing its approach.
Initial expectations pointed towards a March reveal for Nintendo’s next console.
